Set in a cluster of low hills is the town of Outjo, an important cattle-ranching centre. The history of the town and surroundings is depicted in the Outjo Museum, with the focus on gemstones and wildlife. Outjo lies on the junction of the C39 and the C38. The C38 leads to the Etosha National Park. The entrance lies about 100 kilometres away from Outjo.
